HOW TO USE THIS COURSE

How to use the course
Vowels
Consonants

1. Listen to a dialogue several times.

2. Write down the text of the dialogue. Listen and copy down sentence by sentence. Make pauses after each long phrase and try to write it down. If you cannot recognize some words, write down their transcriptions. Do not hesitate to rewind the record again and again. Your task is to get the exact text no matter how long time or how much effort it will take.

3. Look up the unknown words in the dictionary. If you are not sure of the spelling, try to find the words according to the transcription. Mind homonyms (words that sound the same but have different meaning). Translate the text into your mother tongue.

4. Listen to the record again and make sure you have the complete text of the dialogue.

5. Read the dialogue synchronously with the record several times. Mind the pronunciation.

6. Learn the dialogue by heart.

7. Continue practising until you can recite the dialogue immitating the intonation and proniciation of the speakers on the record.

8. It might be helpful if you record yourself while reciting and then compare yourself with the original record.

The complexity increases from the beginning of the course towards its end, so start from the first dialogue and step forward to the next as soon as you master the previous one.
